Commencement of Term 1, 2022

A note from the Principal

Dear Families,

I am very excited to be back as your Principal in 2022. I am communicating the following to you all around the changes to the start of the school year for our students. You will notice some slight variation to what our Department has recommended, and I have had this plan approved as I feel it best suits the needs of our students. I am currently working with Sub School leaders and they will post updates specific to their year levels as required. I am working at school all week so please email through the dl0766.info@schools.sa.edu.au for any further clarification.

YAS plan to return to school:

• Year 12s all return to school plus any year 11 students currently enrolled in a Stage 2 subject.  
• Year 11 Online learning
• Year 10 Online learning
• Year 8/9 ( 2 composite classes) face to face
• Year 6/7 ( 2 composite classes) face to face
• Year 5 Online learning
• Year 4 Online learning
• Year 3 Online learning
• Year 2 Online learning
• Year 1 classes face to face
• Reception classes face to face
• Any essential workers children and vulnerable students ( FLO and our Coastal program) face to face

The only way this differs from what the department says is that any Stage 2 students will be able to start face to face and our year 9s and our year 6 will also start face to face due to the composite nature of the class structure.
