The Parent Survey
The Department for Education is coordinating the 2021 School Parent Engagement Survey. Your feedback will help us understand the things we're doing well, where we can improve, and what's really important to you as a parent. Parents will be sent an invite directly from the department. For more information, please go to - www.education.sa.gov.au/parentsurvey
Enrolment Offers
This term enrolment offers for secondary school will be sent to the families of our year 6 and 7 students. It is important for you to know that not all schools will send out their enrolment offers at the same time, but they will be sent as close as possible to 13 August 2021.
Most families will receive their offer via email. If you think you have not received your enrolment offer from your secondary school, you need to check your junk folder for an email from education.noreply@sa.gov.au.
If you did not provide an email address on your Registration of Interest form, you will receive your enrolment offer in the mail or it will be handed to you by your child.
If your enrolment offer has not arrived by 18 August, please let the Trudy Noack at the school know and we can follow up on your behalf.
If you need support to accept your enrolment offer, it is best to contact Trudy at the school and she can step you through the process.

Cows Create Careers Program
A big congratulations goes to the Year 8/9 Agriculture rotation class who participated in the Cows Create Careers Program last term. They are the winning school team for the whole of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The students each received a prize and the school receives $500. The students are to be commended for their efforts particularly; Jaia, Tarsha, Lucy, Sharla and Jess for the quality of their assessment tasks, and Charlotte for feeding the calves. The program went for 6 weeks and students had to learn all about the Australian Dairy Industry - which is Australia’s fourth largest rural industry. They then had to complete 5 lengthy written assessment tasks, surveys and an advertisement for milk replacer which were all assessed against student’s work from other schools. We would like to thank Ian and Jill Williams for lending us 2 dairy calves for 3 weeks to assist with the program.
2020/2021 Agriculture Program
As part of the Agriculture program in 2020/2021 students were involved in growing native trees for the Trees for Life Volunteer Program. We were responsible for preparing the soil, planting the seeds, fertilising the trees, weeding pots and growing them out for the entire growing season which was November 2020 through to May this year. We grew sheoaks, pink gums and wattles for a landowner near Yankalilla to plant on his property.

Australian Ballet Online Workshop
Today the Rotation Arts group had a second online workshop with the Australian Ballet. We worked with two of the dancers, going through some of the motifs (a feature in a dance that is repeated and varied throughout the dance performance) from the ballet Romeo and Juliet. After learning 2 of the motifs with the professionals, we were asked to vary our favourite motif; changing the body part used, speed, level, energy and direction. After working together in pairs for 10 minutes, we presented in small groups back to the class to see if they noticed our changes to the original motif. A couple of dancers were even brave enough to share on camera with the ballet dancers - impressive!
It was a fantastic opportunity for us to try out some new moves and dance styles. It was great to see everyone willing to have a go (once they knew the cameras were off!) and share their motifs with the group. Hopefully, we will have more opportunities to work with the Australian ballet in the future.
