Indigenous Studies 

At Yankalilla Area School we have a dedicated Aboriginal Education Team (AET) who work collaboratively with students and teachers to support our ATSI (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) students in literacy and numeracy, deliver an Aboriginal perspective to all students through teaching and learning and promote Aboriginal cultural and historical events across the school.

The AET is comprised of Phil Noel and Amy Coughlan. 

In conjunction with the Principal, the AET have developed a 2025 Reconciliation Action Plan for Aboriginal Learner Achievement.
